Makenu Chocolate

What an adventure this was for this Chocholate lover! We were able to take an amazing tour, learn about the owners passion and actually witness his artistry.. So much fun and so much to be impressed by. Fresh cacao beans turned into a yummy burst of flavor with 6 days in between.. crazy! Not inexpensive but absolutely work a treat and the calories! Happy to support them and hope for their continued success!

Love everything about this place! The coffee, chocolate, banana bread and I’m sure everything else are amazing. The staff is so kind and welcoming, the space is beautiful and bright. My only regret is not finding them sooner!

I am an old guy who wandered in here and was warmly greeted. When one of the things I ordered seemed a bit off. They completely addressed the issue. They have half-and-half and excellent coffee. i’ll be back

Dipped chocolate fruit was lovely. For a shopping experience, it did require a bit much education first before I could even discover price. A simple price menu with package sizes or by weight with images and brief description with a Lil sample would've sufficed. But they were very nice people.

We visited from out of town and had gotten a piece of chocolate in our hotel room (Hotel Palms) from Makenu. Once we tried it, read about their philosophy of chocolate making and checked out their website, we had to stop in—and it didn’t disappoint! The banana bread was amazing, the chocolate was so fresh/pure and the pistachio latte was incredible—and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t really like coffee!

Came for a tour here as part of a wounded warrior project event, and I have to say this place exceeded expectations. The founders shared their passion for chocolate, and the sheer artistry and science behind all of the in house chocolate making. I have never experienced chocolate this way before and what an absolute treat it was. My husband and I had to grab up so many goodies to take home with us including chocolate dipped fruit, the most incredible truffles we’ve ever had, and some of their toffee. We will be back

After going by this shop a number of times I decided the day after the 4th of July to stop in and visit. If you are looking for a place to park your seat, do a little bit of work, and have a fantastic espresso and a croissant or scone, then this would be the place. The service is excellent and very attentive. Their chocolate is literally homemade. Here you can see beans that are brought in from places throughout the world and actually roasted right here in the store. The owner is Tucker and you can mention that you saw the review from Hank. Have him show you a bit around before you sit down with your coffee and enjoy that decadent dark chocolate that they create right here in the cafe. You will not be disappointed!
